Lifejackets

ISO Jackets

New ISO accredited lifejackets are now available in a multitude of styles, designs and sizes. These range from 150N to 305N and are available as manual or auto, with or without harness. The type of Lifejacket you need will depend on a number of factors, not least of which you boating activity type. There are service costs to concider when picking a lifejacket, and which lifejacket manufacturer provides the best warranties.

SOLAS Twin Chamber 275N

SOLAS lifejackets are all twin chamber lifejackets. These are available in 150N up to the most common size of 275N, but 300N or 305N are available also. Typically these come with lights, harness connection points and being twin chamber, come with redundnacy built in. These are commmon and required on most commercial vessels built to class or workplaces such as Wind Farm's or CTV's.

Foam SOLAS Jackets

Foam LSA Jackets are typically used on vessels such as container ships or other large vessels, where space is not an issue. These are non inflatable but do carry the SOLAS wheel mark, enabling them to be carried on commercial vessels but at a fraction of the cost of inflatable jackets. These can also be fitted with lights.
